The new generation of the Kia Cee’d hatchback has been recently launched in the United Kingdom, where the model has a starting price of 14,395 pounds.
According to the South Korean based automaker, the 2013 Kia Cee’d is available, in the United Kingdom, with a choice of four engines, two petrol units and two diesels. Kia says that the 1.4 liter petrol engine, with its 98 BHP, and the 1.6 liter petrol, with 133 BHP, will be available for the new Cee’d generation, along with the 1.4 liter diesel unit, with its 89 BHP, and the 1.6 liter diesel, putting down 126 BHP. Future owners of the Kia Cee’d in the UK will also have to choose between five specification levels, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 4 Tech.
Standard features available for the new Kia Cee’d five-door hatchback in the United Kingdom include the USB and iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, cooled glovebox, daytime running lights, front electric windows, electric door mirrors, air conditioning and Hill Start Assist. The “2” spec is adding the rear center armrest, rear electric windows, reversing sensors and cruise control with speed limiter, for 16,395 GBP.
For 18,995 GBP, the “3” is available, with extra reverse parking camera, 7-inch touch screen sat-nav, dual-zone automatic AC, rain-sensing wiper and tinted windows. The “4” is available at 20,595 GBP, and the version is adding 17-inch alloy wheels, electronic parking brake, stop/start, and black leather front seats, while the top of the line “4 Tech” is coming with extra panoramic sunroof, Xenon adaptive headlamps and Parallel Parking Assist System for 22,495 GBP.
