Kia has released a new teaser image with the second generation of the Pro Cee’d three-door hatchback, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September.
This isn’t the first time when the South Korean based automaker is teasing the new generation of the Pro Cee’d and back in March, Kia has released the first sketch with the three-door hatchback, which was revealing the front quarter view, while this new image is revealing the rear view. The 2013 Kia Pro Cee’d will get a sportier side profile with a lowered roof, which will make the model look more like a three-door coupe, and it will also receive a sportier suspension, upgraded brakes and three operating modes for the Flex Steer system: Comfort, Normal and Sport, for a more dynamic driving experience.
There is no official word on the engine range which will be adopted by the second generation of the Kia Pro Cee’d but rumors are saying that the lineup might be borrowed once again from the five-door hatchback, and as an entry-level version, a 1.2 liter petrol turbo direct injection unit will be offered, with its 130 HP. The new 1.6 liter T-GDI, seen on the Hyundai Veloster, might also make its way under the hood of the 2013 Kia Pro Cee’d.
