Kia has unveiled the new generation of the Pro Cee’d ahead of its Paris Motor Show debut later on this month.
The new generation of the Kia Pro Cee’d has started its life earlier this year, with the South Korean based automaker teasing it right after revealing the new Cee’d five-door hatchback at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. As you can see from the few images released by the company, the 2013 Kia Pro Cee’d is getting a sportier design, similar to the one used by Opel on its Astra GTC model.
“This car embodies emotion and energy through and through. You know from a single glance that this is a car you want to drive, not just own”, said the Kia chief design officer, Peter Schreyer.
The 2013 Kia Pro Cee’d is expected to get a range of 1.4 liter and 1.6 liter petrol and diesel engines under its hood and, besides the regular lineup, the model will get a hot GT version too. The 2013 Kia Pro Cee’d GT will get a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, which will produce a total output of 200 BHP and it’s expected to be officially presented to the public next year in Geneva. More details on the 2013 Kia Pro Cee’d will be announced at the Paris Motor Show.
