The new generation of the Kia ProCee’d has been recently detailed for the UK auto market, even if the model hasn’t been officially launched over there just yet.
The 2013 Kia ProCee’d GT is the three-door version of the new Cee’d generation and it’s available in two trim levels, the S and the SE, with the former getting Bluetooth music streaming, Isofix and 16-inch alloy wheels amongst others, while the SE adding larger rims and sat-nav. Two engines options are available for the brand new Kia ProCee’d, a 1.6 liter GDI and a 1.6 liter CRDI.
According to the car manufacturer, the 1.6 liter GDI petrol is producing a total output of 133 BHP and it has a peak torque of 164 lb-ft. This is enough to allow the model to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 9.8 seconds or in 9.5 seconds in the SE, with a top speed identical in both trim levels, 121 mph. Diesel lovers will be able to choose the 1.6 liter CRDI, which is coming with 126 BHP and 192 lb-ft of torque, allowing the new ProCee’d to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 11.5 seconds and in 10.5 seconds in the SE. Top speed stands at 122 mph and fuel consumption at 74.3 mpg, while the CO2 emissions don’t get passed 112 g/km. Prices for the model will start at 17,495 GBP and they will come with a 7-year/100,000 warranty.
