Land Rover has recently pulled the wraps off the 2013 Freelander 2, revealing a redesigned model with some interesting extra features which will make the life of its future owners easier.
“The Freelander 2’s equipment levels bring a more premium look and feel for the overall driving experience. In addition, our customers continue to benefit from our refined and economical range of diesel engines and can now opt for the powerful and highly efficient new Si4 GTDi petrol”, said the Land Rover Global Brand director, John Edwards.
According to the British based automaker, the 2013 Land Rover Freelander 2 is now more comfortable and the model is getting a fresh interior with a new center console, a 7-day timed climate system, a new 7-inch color touchscreen display, satellite navigation, which is coming as an option, and much more. Land Rover says that in the new 2013 Freelander 2, the Si6 six-cylinder gasoline engine is being replaced by the Si4 four-cylinder unit, which is developing a total output of 237 horsepower.
“It’s another step forward for the Freelander 2 where outstanding equipment levels, superb design, safety and all-terrain capability continue to set the standards in this class”, added John Edwards.
The 2013 Land Rover Freelander 2 is now getting three extra shades, the Mauritius Blue, the Havan and the Aintree Green. The facelifted version of the popular crossover is coming in four trim levels and the HSE gets wood inserts, a panoramic roof and an 825W audio system, while the HSE Lux is adding leather upholstery and 19-inch alloy wheels. The same audio system which is available for the Evoque is also offered on the 2013 Freelander 2, and it’s coming in two choices, with 11 speakers and 380W or with 17 speakers and 825W, which is also including the 7-inch central display.
