The Japanese based automaker Lexus has recently revealed its 2013 model year GS 250, ahead of its official debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China, being expected to go on sale next summer.
According to Lexus, the 2013 GS 250 is powered by a 2.5 liter V6 engine which is developing a total output of 206 horsepower and has a peak torque of 343 Nm (253 lb-ft), being mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Lexus says that its 2013 GS 250 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 228 km/h or 142 mph. The 2013 Lexus GS 250 has an average fuel efficiency of 31.7 mpg UK and 26.4 mpg US (8.9 l/100 km), while emitting 207 g/km of CO2.
“Compared to the current GS, the new model has a more spacious interior, with notably more head and legroom for rear seat passengers. It will be offered with a range of new technology features, including a 12.3 inch multimedia screen – the largest on the market. It will be available with a new S-flow air conditioning system with nanoe air purifying technology and a new Mark Levinson audio system with up to 17 speakers”, as the Japanese based automaker says in the official press release.
The 2013 Lexus GS 250 will also come with the advanced Pre-Crash Safety system, combined with Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor and the Night View. The new GS 250 is expected to be launched in the UK at the same time as the GS 450h hybrid in June 2012.
