At the 2012 Moscow Motor Show, Mazda has unveiled the new Mazda6 Sedan.
The smart looking vehicle is new from the ground up and is lighter, more fuel-efficient and better equipped than the outgoing model. It’s bigger, too.
As you can see from the photo gallery posted below, the 2013 Mazda6 is heavily inspired by the Takeri concept and the model has a Kodo design with LED infused headlights and with a signature wing grille, along with a distinctive greenhouse, bulging fenders and a sloping roof line.
Along with the new CX-5 SUV, the 2013 6 is among the first models to feature the full suite of Mazda’s new ‘SkyActiv’ engines, transmissions and lightweight construction processes.
The entry level model is powered by a 2.0-liter engine with an output of 150 PS at 6,000 rpm and 210 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. For more power, you’re going to have to get the 2.5-liter version, which puts out 192 PS at 5,700 rpm and 256 Nm of torque at 3,250 rpm.
Both units will get the start/stop technology and the larger one will also receive the i-ELOOP regenerative braking system.
No details on the pricing of the 2013 Mazda6 have been announced yet but we know that the model will go on sale later on this year.
