The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce the new generation of the GL-Class, which will be wearing the 2013 model year in its name, at the 2012 New York Auto Show in April.
Even if the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 New York Auto Show next month, the car manufacturer didn’t say anything about this, but according to the guys at caranddriver.com, the model will be more fuel efficient, more spacious and we should thank the redesigned ML-Class for this because the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is based on the new ML-Class, coming with evolutionary styling, LED infused headlights and a two-bar grille, specific for the brand.
Under the hood, the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class could include a 3.0 liter V6 diesel, which will generate a total output of 255 horsepower and a 4.7 liter unit V8 petrol, with its 402 horsepower. The AMG version is expected to be powered by a 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8 engine which will develop 518 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft). Sales of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class will begin later this year but more details about it will be released at the 2012 New York Auto Show on the 4th of April.
