Mercedes-Benz has revealed the new generation of the GL63 AMG at this edition of the Moscow Motor Show, in a world debut.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG was already revealed a few months ago but this year’s Moscow Motor Show celebrated its public debut in a world premiere. Mercedes-Benz says that standard features found on the new GL63 AMG include the AMG sport seats with massage function, premium leather surfaces with contrast stitching, three-zone climate control, flat-bottom steering wheel, AMG badges and more, including the quad-tip exhaust and the 21-inch multi-spoke rims.
On the German market, prices for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG start at 130,305 euros and the model will be launched in Europe in November. The new GL63 AMG is getting a 5.5 liter bi turbo engine, which is generating a total output of 550 HP and it has a peak torque of 760 Nm (560 lb-ft), sent to the permanent all-wheel drive through an AMG Speedshift seven-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz is saying that the GL63 AMG can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h. More details on the powerful luxury SUV will be announced close to its launch date.
