Mercedes Benz has just unveiled the updated 2013 G Class.
Alongside standard G500 and G350 BlueTec models, Mercedes has also introduced the G63 AMG (137, 504.50 euros) as well as a rapid G65 AMG performance flagship that will start at 264, 180.00 euros ($428,642).
That AMG versions feature a new, characteristic AMG radiator grille with double louvres, plus distinctive new bumpers with large air intakes. Red brake callipers and 20-inch wheels, available here for the first time, complement the emotive appeal of its exterior.
As expected, the new G 63 AMG comes with a 544 hp 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with 760 Nm of torque, while the big brother gets the 612 hp 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 with a ridiculous 1000 Nm of torque.
Outside, besides the new LED running lights there’s almost nothing new.
Inside, there’s a new center console and instrument panel that now houses a TFT color display. There’s an additional screen from the COMAND and DVD systems, which integrate the satellite navigation and Internet access, both of which are standard across the range.
