The Japanese based automaker Mitsubishi has recently announced that the 2013 Outlander Sport has entered production in Illinois and the base price of the model has been set at $19, 995.
The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is being produced at the company’s Normal, Illinois plan and the facility will manufacture 50, 000 units of the model annually, but this figure is expected to increase to 70,000.
If this sounds like too many Outlanders to you, you’re right because the car manufacturer is planning to export half of them to other markets, which remain unknown for the moment.
According to the company, the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has a starting price of 19,995 USD in the United States and the model is coming with new chrome surrounds for the front grille, fog lights, modified front and rear bumpers, black side sills which match the bumpers and 18-inch alloy wheels offered in standard.
In the cabin, the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport has been fitted with Bluetooth, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob in standard, while the SE is adding heated front seats, push-button start and an upgraded audio system. The U.S.-made Outlander Sport will go on sale in August.
