The new generation of the Nissan Altima has just hit the US showrooms on Friday, the 8th of June 2012.
The 2013 Nissan Altima is already available for its future customers over-seas, and after it was officially presented to the public earlier this year, the sixth generation of the model has been placed into the spotlights one more time, with the “help” of the Japanese based automaker who has announced that the vehicle has hit dealerships across the country.
“This is a huge day for the Nissan brand as we ramp up production and begin shipping the new, fuel-efficient Altimas to our dealers,” said Bill Krueger, vice chairman, Nissan Americas. “The new Altima is a game-changer for the mid-size market and our dealers can’t wait to share it with our customers.”
As a quick reminder, the 2013 Nissan Altima is powered by a 2.5 liter QR25 four-cylinder engine, which is developing a total output of 182 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 180 lb-ft, and by a 3.5 liter V6 VQ35DE unit, which is producing 270 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The new generation of the Nissan Altima has a starting price of $21,500 for the base entry-level version, the Altima 3.5 S costs 25,360 USD, the 3.5 SV costs 27,780 USD while for the top of the line 3.5 SL, future customers of the new Altima will have to pay 30,080 USD.
