The Japanese based automaker Nissan has teased, for the third time, the new generation of the Altima, which will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 New York Auto Show in April.
After presenting a small part of the front fascia and then releasing a teaser video with the 2013 Nissan Altima, the car manufacturer is once again placing the future generation of the model into the spotlights, this time with a new official image which is showing us the taillight, but even if the model has been teased for the third time, details on it currently remain limited, at least until the New York Auto Show will officially open its gates for the press next month.
As a small reminder, the future generation of the Nissan Altima is expected to pack the same engine lineup as the current model, but these will most likely be upgraded in order to become powerful and more fuel efficient. A new CVT transmission is also expected on the model, as well as a hybrid version of the Altima, which will be powered by a 2.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine along with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. The 2013 Nissan Altima will be assembled in Smyrna, Tenn and Canton and Miss, while the engines will be made at the company’s Decherd, Tenn plant.
