The fourth generation of the Renault Clio has recently leaked over the web in official images which have revealed the interesting shape of the five-door hatchback body style.
After the future Renaultsport Clio has been previewed during this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in a prototype version with some camouflage on its body, the next generation of the Renault Clio has recently leaked over the internet, on Renault Ireland’s official website, and before the photo was taken down, the guys at autoforum.cz managed to take screenshots and post them online. The new generation of the Renault Clio, which is wearing the 2013 model year in its name, is expected to be officially presented to the public in September, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the 2013 Renault Clio rather than what you can already see in the two images posted below this article but we know that the upcoming Renault Clio RS will get a downsized 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, which will replace the “classic” 2.0 liter naturally aspirated. The new engine will offer at least 200 horsepower and more torque than the current unit and the prototype present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed had a double-clutch transmission, but the final production version is expected to get a manual transmission. The next generation of the Renault Clio RS will be revealed next year.
