Shelby American has recently unveiled a Super Snake package for the 2013 Mustang GT500 which will make its public debut in Las Vegas, at the Barrett-Jackson collector car auction.
According to the aftermarket specialists at Shelby American, the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake is coming with a Borla exhaust system, fiberglass hood, a sport-tuned suspension system, upgraded cooling system, Wilwood braking system and with a fresh set of 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance tires. The model can also get optional 13-inch wide rear tire and wheel package inspired from the Carroll Shelby Tribute car at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
The entry-level 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake is coming with a 5.8 liter supercharged V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 662 HP (671 PS / 494 kW) and it has a peak torque of 855 Nm (631 lb-ft). The model can also get a Whipple or Kenne Bell supercharged which will add almost 200 HP more, to a total of 850 Nm. Shelby American said that production of the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake will be limited to just 500 units and pricing will start at 28,995 USD for the entry-level package, while the high performance version will be priced at 39,995 USD.
