SRT has released yet another teaser image of the upcoming 2013 SRT Viper but unfortunately – this image shows far less than the first shot we got a few weeks ago.
It appears to be an air intake wrapped in carbon fiber or…, a cooling intake for the braking system but we are unable to say for sure.
In addition to that lightweight composite, the Viper is expected to make increased use of aluminum to shave weight compared to the previous model from which it will evolve.
Few details are known about the new Viper, but it is expected to be a more sophisticated car than its predecessor and rumored to feature a number of electronic aids including traction control, adjustable dampers and cruise control.
The full monte will be revealed April 4, as part of the New York Auto Show festivities. The new car goes into production later this year at Chrysler’s Connor Avenue plant on Detroit’s east side.
