Suzuki has recently pulled the wraps off the 2013 Escudo, also known as the Grand Vitara, revealing a minor facelift which will be available at first on its local auto market.
The third generation of the Suzuki Escudo / Grand Vitara has been in production ever since 2005 so the Japanese based automaker thought that a facelift will be better and probably cheaper than a new generation of the crossover, so the 2013 model year version came to life. The 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara / Escudo is coming with a new front bumper, tinted headlights, a revised front grille, the spare tier has been jettisoned from the tailgate and that’s about all.
While the exterior design of the 2013 Suzuki Escudo / Grand Vitara has several changes, the interior of the model appears largely untouched, but we can expect some new upholstery. On its local auto market, meaning Japan, the 2013 model year will be powered by the 2.4 liter engine, which is developing a total output of 164 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 225 Nm (166 lb-ft), mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. The all-wheel drive system is available as an option. No price list has been announced yet for the 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara / Escudo.
