The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced that the 2013 Sequoia will get a Blu-Ray player for the rear seat passengers.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2013 Toyota Sequoia will be the first production vehicle in the world which will offer high definition rear seat entertainment with the addition of a Blu-Ray player. The Toyota Entune multimedia system is also available for the 2013 model year.
“The Toyota Sequoia, which offers seating for up to eight in a full-size, full-capability sport-utility vehicle (SUV), gains new family friendly entertainment features for 2013. The Sequoia debuts a Toyota-first Blu-Ray rear seat entertainment system, and 2013 also marks the first full year of Toyota Entune™ availability”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The 2013 Toyota Sequoia is also preparing another surprise for its future customers and, besides adding a Blu-Ray player for the rear seat passengers, the carmaker will drop the 4.6 liter V8 engine so those who are interested in the SUV will have to settle for the larger 5.7 liter V8 as standard equipment. The unit is producing a total output of 381 HP and 401 lb-ft of torque being able to tow 7,400 pounds. Transmission comes in the form of a six-speed automatic which can send power to the two-wheel drive or to the all-wheel drive system.
