The 2013 Viper GTS Launch Edition was officially presented to the public at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance over the last weekend.
After starting its life just a few days before writing this article, with the North American based automaker announcing its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the 2013 Viper GTS Launch Edition is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time by the same company, which has finally pulled the wraps off of its body at Pebble Beach.
“Designed with Viper loyalists in mind, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition model brings back the classic paint schemes that have adorned all previous Viper coupe launches to help us celebrate the return of our brand’s flagship performance machine to the supercar market”, said the president and CEO of the SRT brand and Chrysler vice president of product, Ralph Gilles, in a statement.
The 2013 Viper GTS Launch Edition is getting some exclusive upgrades like the “Stryker” badge on the steering wheel, the Black Laguna leather with contrast stitching on the grab handle, steering hweel, instrument panel, door trim, center console and shift knob, along with a serialized dash plaque. Power to the 2013 Viper GTS Launch Edition is being provided by a mid-engine 8.4 liter V10, which is developing a total output of 640 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque, just like all other Viper models.
