The finalists for the prestigious 2013 World Car of the Year award have been recently announced and the winner will be known on the 28th of March, during the New York Auto Show.
Instead of being just one award, four trophies will be handed over for four different cars, in the World Performance Car, the World Green Car, the World Car Design of the Year and the World Car of the Year. The official decision will be voted by a group of 66 automotive journalists from all around the world and the final answer will be known during the 2013 New York Auto Show, on the 28th of March.
The previous winner of the 2012 World Car of the Year was the Volkswagen Up!. The first three finalists in every category will be announced next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The full list with the finalists in every category can be seen below.
