The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently announced that its brand new A180 CDI BlueEfficiency is the company’s most fuel efficient model ever.
After it was announced to make its public debut soon, the Mercedes-Benz A180 CDI is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing that this is the most fuel efficient model in the company’s lineup ever. According to the car manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz A180 CDI BlueEfficiency is able to burn just 3.6 liters of fuel every 100 km in an average cycle (65.3 mpg US / 78.4 mpg UK) the model is emitting 92 g/km of CO2.
The Mercedes-Benz A180 CDI BlueEfficiency is powered by a 1.5 liter diesel engine, which is producing a total output of 109 HP, mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is sending power to the front wheels. Besides the diesel A180 BlueEfficiency, Mercedes-Benz has also announced a petrol version, which is getting a 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, which is hood for 120 HP and this variant is burning 5.2 liters of fuel every 100 km (45 mpg US / 54.3 mpg UK) while emitting 120 g/km of CO2.
