The Japanese based automaker Acura has released the very first teaser image with the 2014 MDX ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2103 Detroit Motor Show, next month.
The 2014 Acura MDX teased above has been designed in order to preview a production model of the crossover and this is in fact a prototype which should offer a first glimpse into the vehicle. The crossover will get an angular front bumper, a smaller grille, prominent air intakes, bulging fenders, a sloping roof line and some other tweaks which will help its overall design. Acura says that the 2014 MDX will get the Aero Sculpture design which should add new lines to its body.
No technical specifications on the 2014 Acura MDX have been announced yet but rumors are saying that the model will get a 3.5 liter V6 engine under its hood, which should produce a total output of 310 BHP (231 kW) and 360 Nm of torque (272 lb-ft). The model will also get a hybrid version, using the same V6 engine, helped by three electric motors, for a total output of 370 HP (276 lb-ft). More details on the 2014 Acura MDX will be announced at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
