Acura has released a first teaser image of the 2014 MDX, announcing the model’s public debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Acura MDX teased above has been designed to preview the production model of the crossover and it’s in fact a prototype. The crossover in question will get the Aero Sculpture design which will add new lines to its body, along with an angular front bumper, prominent air intakes, a smaller grille, a creased hood, bulging fenders and a sloping roof line, contributing to that new evolutionary design.
Acura didn’t announce any technical specifications on the 2014 MDX but rumors are saying that this will use a 3.5 liter V6 engine which will produce a total output of 310 BHP (231 kW) and 360 Nm of torque (272 lb-ft). A hybrid version, using the same V6 engine and three electric motors, for a total output of 370 HP (276 kW), is also planned. Additional details on the 2014 Acura MDX are limited for the moment and will be announced once the model will make its public debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
