Acura has released some new details on the 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid has gained a head-up display in the cabin, an electronic gear selector, which is replacing the conventional center console mounted shifter, a 7-inch On Demand Multi Use Display with a 7-inch display, the AcuraLink connectivity system and some other tweaks, which should make the model quite popular. Acura says that the 2104 RLX Sport Hybrid will go on sale next spring, but we have no clue on how much the model will set you back for.
Power to the 2014 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid is being provided a 3.5 liter V6 engine, mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission with a built-in electric motor, which is backed up by two electric motors and a 260-volt lithium-ion battery. This setup is allowing the hybrid powertrain to produce a total output of 377 HP (281 kW), which is being translated into an average fuel consumption of 28 / 32 / 30 mpg in city / highway / combined. More details on the model will probably be announced close to its launch.
