Audi has finally pulled the wraps off the brand new A3 Sedan and S3 Sedan, and the two models will go on sale worldwide later on this year.
The German based automaker Audi says that the A3/S3 Sedan is 175.5 inches long, 70 inches wide and 55.7 inches tall, riding on a 103.4 inches long wheelbase. This is a similar size to the original A4, which was launched two decades ago. The brand new Audi A3 Sedan is coming with leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, MMI infotainment system with a seven-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity, LED ambient lighting, Band & Olufsen audio system and some other tweaks.
Power to the new A3 Sedan will be provided by a 1.4 liter TFSI with 140 HP (103 kW) and 250 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft), by a 1.8 liter TFSI with 170 HP (132 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, by a 2.0 liter TFSI, whose output remains unknown, and by a 2.0 liter TDI with 150 HP (110 kW) and 320 Nm of torque (236 lb-ft).
The Audi S3 Sedan is getting modified bumpers, new side skirts, a trunk mounted spoiler, aluminum mirror casings, new sport tuned suspension, reducing the ride height by 25 mm and some other tweaks. The model is powered by a 2.0 liter TFSI engine, which is producing a total output of 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft). This is enough to allow it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, with a six-speed manual transmission, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Prices for the A3 Sedan will start at 25,000 euros in Germany.
