2014 Audi Q7 might debut in Frankfurt
The German based automaker Audi is planning to introduce the next generation of the Q7 at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
Rumors on the development of a new generation of the Audi Q7 have been around for quite some time but until now we didn’t know when the carmaker will unveil the new popular SUV. According to the guys at Auto Zeitung, the next generation of the Audi Q7 will be officially presented to the public in September, this year, during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The Audi Q7 will be the VW Group’s first SUV to use the new multi-material MLB platform.
This will help the model loose approximately 400 kg in its total weight and a lighter body is transformed into a better performance, an improved fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions. The same MLB platform will be eventually used on other SUVs like the Touareg, the Cayenne, the Urus or the Falcon. The next generation of the Audi Q7 is expected to be inspired by the CrossLane Concept. Additional details on the 2014 Audi Q7 are limited for the moment and will be announced once the model will make its public debut in Frankfurt.
