Audi has released a new set of official images with the brand new RS6 Avant, ahead of the model’s official debut in January 2013.
After it was unveiled just a few days before writing this article, the new generation of the Audi RS6 Avant is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the German based automaker releasing a new set of images with the powerful estate. The 2013 Audi RS6 Avan won’t be launched in the United States even if the model will make its public debut on the 14th of January, during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
The 2013 Audi RS6 Avant is coming with a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, replacing the previous 5.2 liter naturally aspirated unit, which is developing a total output of 560 HP (412 kW) and 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the Quattro all-wheel drive system through an eight-speed tiptronic transmission. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) or 280 km/h (174 mph) with the Dynamic Package and 305 km/h (190 mph) with the Dynamic Plus Package. Fuel consumption stands at 9.8 liters / 100 km (24 mpg US).
