A new rendering image with the future Audi S3 Cabrio has recently hit the web and it’s showing us the upcoming model from a new angle.
After unveiling the new A3 Sedan and S3 Sedan, the German based automaker Audi is currently working on the new S3 Cabrio, but before seeing the first official images of the model, we have to settle for renderings and, once in a while, some interesting spy photos. The image posted above represents a rendering of the future Audi S3 Cabrio and its design has been inspired by its solid roof brother, the Audi S3 Sedan.
The looks won’t be the only thing shared between the two models because the drop top will also receive the same engine under its hood as its solid roof brother. This means that future owners of the model will get the 2.0 liter TFSI engine, which is producing a total output of 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft). In the S3 Sedan, this is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint of just 5.3 seconds and an electronic limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). The S3 Cabrio, however, might become slightly slower because of the added weight.
