The new generation of the Chevrolet Cruze has been officially presented to the public attending the 2014th edition of the Beijing Motor Show.
Chevrolet has pulled a surprise on people carefully watching the global launches of the 2014 Beijing Motor Show by officially pulling the wraps off the new generation of the Cruze. The model in question has been inspired by the Tru Concept and it has an aerodynamic front fascia, sweptback headlights and a dual-mesh grille.
Noticeable are also the shorter overhangs, the rakish windscreen or the chrome plated trim. The new design language has a slogan of “Design with a Heartbeat”. Chevy has also used a brand new architecture when creating the new Cruze generation so the vehicle is designed to set new benchmarks in its segment.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze will become available with a 1.4 liter turbocharged unit and with a naturally aspirated 1.5 liter. No specifications on these two engines have been announced yet but they will be mated to a variety of transmissions, such as the 6-speed manual, the 6-speed automated manual or the new 7-speed DCG (dual clutch gearbox). More details on the new Chevrolet Cruze generation are currently limited for the moment.
