The new Lexus entry-level crossover, the NX, has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
Originally previewed by the LF-NX concepts, the new Lexus NX is now making its public debut during the Chinese automotive event. The model in question has an aggressive exterior design, a prominent spindle grille, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, some plastic body cladding and either 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels. The crossover can be had with the F SPORT package, which is adding the unique alloy wheels, the new front bumper, the black mirrors, the mesh grille, revised instrumentation in the cabin, sport seats or paddle shifters.
The interior design of the NX is also getting a three-spoke steering wheel, an angular center stack, metallic trim, leather upholstery, Wireless Charging Tray, wood trim and more. As far as the engine lineup goes, the model will come with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder with 235 HP (175 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque on the NX 200t, while the NX 300h will have a 2.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine and an electric motor, producing a total output of 194 HP (145 kW). FWD is standard and AWD is optional. The NX will go on sale this fall in the United States. No pricing details have been announced yet.
