The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class L has been recently introduced at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.

Mercedes-Benz has officially introduced a new version of the C-Class, the L (long wheelbase), which has been specifically designed for Chinese customers and unveiled during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. The model in question has a wheelbase stretched by 80 mm to 2,920 mm and it has a total length of 4,766 mm.

“The stretched version we have developed especially for our discerning customers in China. And it is built exclusively for the Chinese market and also produced in China, together with our longstanding partner BAIC”, says the Daimler AG member of the board responsible for activities of Greater China, Hubertus Troska.

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class L has more rear legroom and in fact the company says that the model in question is offering a best-in-class rear seat legroom. The rear passenger compartment has received privacy glass and controls which can adjust the passenger seat, mostly because it has been designed to be driven by a chauffeur. The carmaker says that a variety of engines can be added to this vehicle, ranging between 156 HP (115 kW) and 367 HP (270 kW). No pricing details have been announced yet.
