New details have emerged on the new generation of the BMW X5, which will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
SUV lovers now have a reason to be happy because if they’re looking for a new ride, the wait is almost over. The 2014 BMW X5 will make its public debut during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September. The model has an evolutionary styling, a more aggressive front bumper, quad exhaust pipes on several versions, 20-inch alloy wheels, cross-drilled brake discs with blue calipers and some other tweaks which have been inspired by other models in the company’s lineup.
One of the most interesting versions of the new BMW X5 generation will be the X5M. This variant will weigh less than the outgoing version and it will get the 4.4 liter V8 engine, with variable valve timing and a higher compression ratio, under its hood. The unit should produce a total output of approximately 570 BHP, enough for a 0 to 62 mph sprint of around 4.5 seconds. Fuel economy should stand at 20.3 mpg UK in the 2,380 kg vehicle. The X5M is expected to become available in 2014 for approximately 85,000 GBP.
