Cadillac has recently announced new options of the 2014 XTS which also include a new and powerful engine.
According to the North American based automaker, the 2014 Cadillac XTS will get electric power steering for all front-wheel drive models, a rear-seat entertainment system with twin DVD screens which will fold out of the back of the front seats, sunshade control, opaque sunroof sunshade, revised rear-seat armerst with wood trim and more. The model will also gain the Automatic Park Assist, which will allow the vehicle to park itself in parallel spaces with the ultrasonic sensors. The driver will only have to put it in reverse and press the gas and brake pedals.
The 2014 Cadillac XTS will also receive a brand new 3.6 liter twin turbo V6 engine, which will produce a total output of 410 HP and it will have a peak torque of 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). The unit will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. No performance figures have been released yet. The model equipped with this engine will get a badge on the decklid and a specific grille treatment. Additional details on the 2014 Cadillac XTS remain unknown for the moment.
