The front end of the future Chevrolet Corvette generation has recently leaked all over the web revealing the model ahead of its public debut.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette has already been teased a few times but the model is ending up in our news once again, this time with the sports car leaking online. Chris Doane, a spy photographer, has received the image posted above in his e-mail inbox and he has posted it on Facebook. The photo is part of the service manual for the Corvette C7 and it’s showing us the brake cooling system, but, involuntary, we now have a glimpse of the model’s front end.
The future generation of the Chevrolet Corvette will get the new LT1 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, which will produce a total output of 450 HP (336 kW) and it will have a peak torque of 450 lb-ft (609 Nm). This should be enough to allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than 4 seconds. The fuel consumption of the Corvette C7 will stand at an estimated 26+ mpg on the highway. Additional details on the sports car will be announced on the 13th of January, when it will be unveiled, ahead of its public debut at the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit.
