The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been unveiled ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, on January 14.
An evolutionary design can be seen on the brand new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, with a long and ventilated hood, with a prominent rear spoiler, with front fender vents, a removable roof, Camaro-like taillights, HID headlights with LEDs and much more. The interior design has also been upgraded and we can now see premium leather upholstery, aluminum trim, a lightweight magnesium frame between the two seats and much more.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is also coming with a new aluminum frame, with an improved differential, with an electronic limited-slip differential and with an aerodynamic body kit, which is improving its stability at high speeds. The most important feature can be found under its hood where the 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine is living, with continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) and direct injection. The total output produced by the unit stands at 450 BHP (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque. The model should be able to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds and return 26+ mpg on the highway. The new Corvette Stingray will go on sale later on this year. More details on the model will be announced close to its launch.
