Two new renderings with the upcoming 2014 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 have recently hit the web and they might provide us with a first look into the final production version of the popular sports car.
The upcoming 2014 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is rumored to make its way onto the market, after the convertible version will arrive, but the North American based automaker is trying to keep it a secret. Well GM and Chevy may try to keep details on the 2014 Corvette ZR1 into the shadows for the moment but that doesn’t mean that they’re good at this, and the first news on the sports car arrived just a few days ago.
Rumors are saying that the brand new Corvette ZR1 will use a supercharged version of the LT1 6.2 liter V8 engine, which will increase its power to 675 BHP (503 kW) and even to 700 BHP (522 kW). This is a huge number compared to the output produced by the standard 2014 Corvette Stingray, of 450 HP (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft of torque (609 Nm). Additional details on the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 are limited for the moment and will be announced over the following months.
