Chevrolet has recently announced its plans to unveil the 2014 Silverado on the 13th of December, during a press conference held in Michigan.
After it was teased a few times and even spied on the road, the brand new Chevrolet Silverado, which is wearing the 2014 model year in its name, is closer and closer to its future customers and the model will be officially unveiled on the 13th of December, 2012, during a press conference at the Michigan Motion Pictures Studio in Pontiac, Michigan. According to the car manufacturer, besides the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, the 2014 GMC Sierra full-size pickup truck will also be presented on the same day.
The two new pickup trucks will continue to use a body-on-frame construction but the models are expected to lose some weight and this will help improve the fuel economy. The powertrain options will include the new GM small-block V8 with VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and direct injection technologies, along with the 3.6 liter V6 which can produce 320 HP. Additional details on the two new Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra are unknown for the moment and will probably be announced during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, where the two models will make their public debut.
