The North American based automaker Chevrolet is planning to introduce a Wagon version of the brand new 2014 SS performance sedan.
After it was unveiled over the weekend, and with a few videos of the model making their way onto the web, the 2014 Chevrolet SS is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time by a rumor, which is saying that the vehicle might receive a Wagon version. The rumor has appeared in the Australian automotive media, where the Holden VF Commodore, which is related to the Chevy SS, is expected to get a Wagon variant soon.
If it will indeed make its way onto the market after the regular 2014 Chevy SS, the Wagon version is expected to use the same LS3 6.2 liter V8 engine as the performance sedan. The unit is producing a total output of 415 HP (309 kW) and 415 lb-ft of torque (562 Nm), being just 35 HP (26 kW) and 35 lb-ft of torque (47 Nm) less powerful than the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, allowing the performance sedan to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in approximately 5 seconds.
