Chevrolet has recently released the very first teaser image of the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
After announcing its official unveil during the Swiss automotive event next month, Chevy is placing the brand new Corvette Stingray Convertible into the spotlights once again, this time by releasing the very first teaser image with the model. The 2014 Chevrolet Stingray Convertible will get a similar design to the one used on the coupe.
“Every Corvette is designed at the outset as an open car. The new Stingray is no different, with the coupe and convertible designed to excel in any situation – be it your daily commute, a drive across the continent, or charging through twisting back roads”, said Tadge Juechter, the Corvette chief engineer.
Chevy didn’t release more details on the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible but the model is expected to get the same LT1 6.2 liter V8 engine used on the coupe, which is generating 450 BHP (336 kW) and 450 lb-ft of torque (609 Nm), allowing the model to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds. More details on the drop-top Corvette are limited for the moment and will be announced in Geneva, on the 5th of March.
