The German based automaker BMW has brought its new M235i to the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, where the model has made its local debut.
Officially unveiled just a few months ago, the brand new BMW M235i Coupe is entering our news once again, this time with the carmaker making its public debut at NAIAS. The model in question is the sportiest version of the new 2-Series range, being priced from 44,025 USD in the United States. BMW says that the 2-Series is 72 mm longer, 32 mm wider and it has a 30 mm longer wheelbase than the previous 1-Series Coupe. Its trunk capacity stands at 390 liters.
The BMW M235i is taking its power from a 3.0 liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six gasoline burner, producing a total output of 326 HP (240 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in this model takes just 4.8 seconds with the optional 8-speed automatic transmission or 5.0 seconds with the 6-speed manual. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). Just like we said above, prices for the brand new BMW M235i Coupe have been set at 44,025 USD, over-seas.
