Lexus has officially unveiled the 2015 RC-F during the North American International Auto Show, which is taking place as we speak.
The BMW M4 fighter has made its public debut in Detroit recently, putting an end to rumors and leaked images. The Lexus RC-F has received an aggressive body kit, which is made out of the new front bumper, the ventilated front fenders, the bulging hood or the side skirts. If this isn’t too aggressive for you, than the model can also have a carbon fiber package, which is adding the carbon fiber roof or the active rear spoiler. Wheels include the 19-inch forged aluminum ones.
Power to the new Lexus RC-F will be provided by a 5.0 liter V8 engine. The total output produced by this unit stands at more than 450 HP (335 kW) and 518 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is an 8-speed Sports Direct Shift, which will allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 4.6 seconds, before reaching an estimated top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph). The new Lexus RC-F is also getting a Torque Vectoring Differential with three different modes, Standard, Slalom and Track, and a sport tuned suspension, amongst others. More details on the model will be announced soon.
