Dodge has just announced that its 2014 Durango full-size SUV will start at $29,795 without destination charges. Even if the starting price is similar to the 2013 model, the AUBURN HILLS automaker said the 2014 Durango comes with more than $3,500 in added content.
Standard features include an 8-speed automatic transmission, projector fog lamps, projector headlamps, LED taillights, bright chrome or body-color accents, 18-inch aluminum wheels, Bluetooth, 5-inch touch screen, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, a 7-inch customizable gauge cluster, Keyless Enter ‘n Go, seven airbags and seven seats.
Mechanically, the 2014 Durango SUV comes with the 3.6-liter V-6 engine Pentastar engine that generates 290 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. It is capable of delivering up to 25 miles per gallon on the highway. This is the standard engine, while the automaker is also offering the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that will generate 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine comes with cylinder-deactivation technologies and is capable of delivering up to 23 mpg hwy. Both V-6 and V-8 models are available in rear- or four-wheel-drive configurations.
The 2014 Dodge Durango will be available in five trim levels with the SXT being the standard solution. Citadel is the top of the line and it comes with perforated Nappa leather, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen that comes with the new Uconnect Access, remote start, 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, power sunroof, automatic high-beam headlamps, rain-sensitive front wipers, power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and power liftgate. The top of the line 2014 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel will will start at $40,995 (excluding destination).
