2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition officially unveiled image

Ford has recently pulled the wraps off the F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition, which is a new version of the popular street legal off-road vehicle, adding some interesting items.

After showing us the 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, the North American based automaker is now placing the model into the spotlights once again, this time by unveiling a special edition of the model. According to the carmaker, the 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition is being offered in Ruby Red Metallic and Tuxedo Black Metallic, with box-side graphics, and the model will also add some cosmetic enhancements to the current Luxury Package.

Ford says that the 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition is now getting interior upgrades such as the Brick Red seat bolsters with black inserts, the console top finish panel and cloth honeycomb highlights. Power to the model is being provided by a large 6.2 liter V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 411 HP and it has a peak torque of 434 lb-ft (588 Nm), which is exactly the same unit in the same output as the one found on the 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. Additional details on the model will be announced soon.

Only 2 color choices? Why not Silver or White. Why "Ruby" Red or Black…no thanks. What about a diesel version…you get more miles from a tank full of diesel, and when you go bush you have more chance of finding diesel out there than petrol (gasoline). No wonder the Americans are chasing oil over the planet to run juice sucking machines like this. Don't get me wrong, I love this truck, but I would need a turbo diesel version…and Silver in colour.
