Jaguar has officially presented to the public the new XFR-S Sportbrake at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The future rival for models like the Audi RS6 Avant, the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Wagon or the BMW M5 Touring is finally here and it has made its public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question is coming with a new body kit, with 20-inch Varuna forged alloy wheels, wrapped in 265/35 and 295/30 tires, front to rear, active electronic differential, updated rear spring rates, 380 / 376 mm front to rear ventilated discs, carbon fiber inserts on the bumpers and a new roof spoiler.
Power to the model is provided by a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine, the same one from the XFR-S Sedan, which is rated at 542 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. The engine sends power to the wheels through an 8-speed QuickShift transmission, from the F-Type, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of “just” 300 km/h (186 mph). The average fuel consumption stands at 12.7L / 100km (22.2 mpg UK / 18.4 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stop at 297 g/km.
