The Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG has made its European debut recently, during the 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show.
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the new GLA 45 AMG crossover on the Old Continent, in a premiere, after the model has been officially presented to the public back in January, during the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. The GLA 45 AMG has an aggressive body kit, an AMG sports suspension system, a high performance braking system, a flat bottom steering wheel, Artico / Dinamica sport seats, brushed aluminum trim and more.
Power to the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG is provided by the same engine used on the A 45 AMG and on the CLA 45 AMG. We’re talking about the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit, which is producing a total output of 360 HP (265 kW) and it has a peak torque of 450 Nm (331 lb-ft). The most powerful version of the GLA has a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission, which is sending power to the AMG 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, allowing the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
