Qoros has officially introduced the brand new 3 Hatch during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere.
The Chinese-Israeli car manufacturer has officially pulled the wraps off its second model, the 3 Hatch. The vehicle in question is looking way better than most Chinese cars, as we have to admit, and it has a design which clearly echoes the sedan. The Qoros 3 Hatch has been developed in order to appeal to young customers and it will be sold with a choice of four trim levels, the Essence, the Experience, the Experience Plus and the Elegance.
Qoros says that the newly unveiled 3 Hatch is 177 mm shorter than its four-door brother but the wheelbase has been maintained, so the interior space hasn’t been affected. Power is provided by a 1.6 liter gasoline four-cylinder engine, which is available in either naturally aspirated or turbocharged form. The unit is good for 124 HP (92 kW) or 154 HP (115 kW) and it’s mated to a 6-speed manual or a dual-clutch transmission. The naturally aspirated version is allowing the 3 Hatch to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.6 seconds while the turbocharged variant can do it in 9.7 seconds. Pricing for the model hasn’t been disclosed yet.
