Morgan has officially pulled the wraps off the most powerful version of the Plus 4 ever during the 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere.
Originally announced for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, just a month ago, the brand new Morgan Plus 4, which happens to be the most powerful version of the model ever to be unveiled, has been officially presented to the public during the Swiss automotive event. The model in question is coming with a new cabin trim, with a revised dashboard and with changed VDO instrumentation, amongst others.
Power to the Morgan Plus 4 is being provided by a four-cylinder 2.0 liter Duratec engine, which is producing a total output of 154 HP (115 kW) and it has a peak torque of 200 Nm (148 lb-ft). These figures have been increased from 145 HP (108 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque by remapping the ECU. The unit is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, sourced from Mazda, and the 877 kg weighing vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 193 km/h (120 mph). The updated Morgan Plus 4 will cost 36,286 GBP.
