The aftermarket specialists at Hennessey Performance have recently announced their plans to introduce the 2014 VelociRaptor SUV, which should add some interesting items to the regular model.
According to the tuning company, the 2014 Hennessey VelociRaptor is actually based on the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor and the model is coming with a rear end which can transform it from a pickup to an SUV. The model has an attractive look, despite getting some components from the Excursion.
“Don’t plan on pre-running Baja or negotiating Rubicon with our SUV, that is not why we built it”, said company founder, John Hennessey. “But, if you’re looking for the ultimate vehicle to drive from Aspen to Telluride in January, the VelociRaptor SUV would be perfect.”
The 2014 Hennessey VelociRaptor has a third row seat in the interior which is allowing the model to transport up to eight people. On the performance side, the model can be equipped with a 6.2 liter supercharged V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 600 HP (447 kW). The new Hennessey VelociRaptor is also coming with a new braking system, signed by Brembo, and new tires and wheels. Production of the model will be limited to just 30 units annually and the entry-level price will be set at 149,500 USD.
