Honda has recently pulled the wraps off the 2014 Civic Tourer, ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for the 10th of September, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
After teasing it a couple of times and talking about it in press releases, the Japanese based automaker Honda has finally decided to unveil the 2014 Civic Tourer. The model in question has been previewed by a concept car with a similar name earlier on this year but the final production version is coming with bulging fenders, LED daytime running lights, angular lights, a floating roof, wraparound taillights and with an overall familiar look.
The cabin of the 2014 Honda Civic Tourer is carried over from the five-door hatchback variant but it’s offering more interior room, with a 1,668-liter trunk capacity. The model is fitted with the so-called rear “Magic Seats”, which can fold down in a single motion. As for the engine lineup, the 2014 Honda Civic Tourer will only become available with the 1.6 liter i-DTEC unit, producing 120 HP (88 kW) and 300 Nm of torque (221 lb-ft), along with the 1.8 i-VTEC, generating 142 HP and 174 Nm of torque (128 lb-ft). European sales will begin in early 2014. More details on the model will be announced in Frankfurt.
