The brand new 2014 Honda Jazz / Fit Hybrid has been officially unveiled by the Japanese based automaker.
After showing us what the rest of the new Jazz / Fit range looks like, Honda has finally decided to pull the wraps off the new Hybrid variant, which is expected to make its way onto the local auto market, Japan, in September. The new generation of the Honda Jazz / Fit Hybrid is coming with angular headlights and with a large front bumper, along with a ventilated bumper in the rear and some Volvo-inspired taillights, as the leaked images of the model are showing.
As for the engine found under its hood, we can tell you that this is a 1.5 liter Atkinson cycle four-cylinder unit, backed up by a high-output electric motor, which is taking its juice from the lithium-ion battery pack. Power is being sent to the wheels through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. Honda says that the new Jazz / Fit Hybrid generation is burning an average of 2.7 L / 100 km of fuel (85.6 mpg US / 102.8 mpg US). Three driving modes will be available for the model, EV, Hybrid and Engine. Additional details on it are limited for the moment and will be announced over the following months.
